30A and Walton County Beach Parking Near Vacation Rentals

Parking at your rental is set by the property. If you drive to the beach along 30A, note that many neighborhood accesses on the county’s chart list no parking; the county lists parking at its regional beach accesses and paid lots, and runs free beach trams. This guide uses Walton County’s beach access chart (a PDF labeled 07-15-26), the county’s paid parking program site, which Walton County Tourism links to, the Walton County Tourism beach tram page and the Grayton Beach State Park fees page, all checked on October 18, 2026.

Quick answer

Walton County’s paid lots charge $5 an hour or $15 a day from March to October, and $5 a day from November to February. Payment is required from 5:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., 365 days a year, by card or phone, with no cash on site. The county’s free beach trams run from park-and-ride lots to regional beach accesses. Grayton Beach State Park charges $5 per vehicle. BnB Search is a rental directory, so nothing here is ranked or rated.

Walton County paid parking lots

The program site lists three paid lots:

You pay by scanning the QR code or using the text-to-pay number on the parking signs, and you need your license plate number. Payment does not reserve a space. The site says ADA parkers are fully exempt and can register for a free annual pass to avoid citations.

Passes are virtual and tied to your license plate. The site says you must pay the daily fee until a pass is approved.

Free beach trams

Walton County Tourism says its free trams link pay parking facilities with regional beach accesses and run daily. On the off-season schedule that began October 1:

Regional beach accesses with parking

Space counts are from the county’s chart. The chart does not list parking fees, and many neighborhood accesses on it list no parking.

Grayton Beach State Park

Florida State Parks lists day use from 8 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year, with gates closing at sunset. Admission is $5 per vehicle (two to eight people), $4 for a single-occupant vehicle, and $2 for pedestrians, bicyclists and extra passengers.

Not covered yet

This guide does not cover the other state parks along 30A, private community accesses or private lots, because we did not check their own pages for this guide. For the City of Destin, see Destin beach parking and access.
