Lake George Village, Bolton Landing and Diamond Point: What the Map Filters

Quick answer

The hub has three area filters: Lake George Village, Bolton Landing and Diamond Point. Almost every pin sits in the Lake George Village filter, which works as a catch-all for the area. Bolton Landing and Diamond Point have 2 pins each. The Lake George hub lists 188 places on its map, 138 of them individual stays. This page does not rank areas. Sources are linked at the end.

The 3 area filters on the map

These counts come from BnB Search's own directory data, read October 30, 2026. They change when listings are added or removed.

An area tag is a broad label. Open the map pin to see exactly where a listing is.

Lake George Village

184 pins, 136 of them stays. This filter is broad: 57 stay titles say Lake George, 15 say Adirondack, 4 mention Whiteface and 2 mention Lake Placid. Open the pin to see where a listing actually is before you plan a beach day.

NYSDEC runs the Lake George Beach Day Use Area, also called Million Dollar Beach, at 139 Beach Road on the south shore. DEC says it is within walking distance of the village. The listed season is May 23 to September 7, and the fee is $10 per car or $5 per motorcycle. Pets, glass, alcohol and smoking are not allowed, and swimming is allowed only when a lifeguard is on duty. A free boat inspection station, boat wash and launch sit next to the beach. Bolton Landing

2 pins, 1 of them stays. The other is a resort.

The Lake George Park Commission lists one of its five regional boat inspection stations at Norowal Marina, 21 Sagamore Road in Bolton Landing, open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It also lists Norowal Marina as a place to buy a boat registration in person. Diamond Point

2 pins, 1 of them stays. The stay's own title gives a drive time to Lake George Village, so it is not a walk-to-the-village listing.

The Lake George Park Commission lists two Diamond Point businesses, Blue Lagoon and Yankee Boating Center, among its in-person boat registration vendors. Source: LGPC boat registrations.

If your rental comes with a boat, or you bring one

The Lake George Park Commission says any vessel with a motor of 10 h.p. or more must be registered with the Commission and display its decal. A one-day registration is $12 and a one-week registration is $20, for any size of boat. Anyone berthing, using or operating a boat on the lake for 21 consecutive days or more needs an annual registration. A receipt is not a substitute for the decal. Source: LGPC boat registrations.

From May 1 to October 31, all trailered boats must be inspected at one of five regional stations before launching. The Commission says the inspection costs nothing. Launching needs the green plastic seal and wire, and paper inspection cards are not accepted. Sources: LGPC boat inspections and LGPC inspection stations.

How to shortlist

  1. Pick the filter: Lake George Village, Bolton Landing or Diamond Point.
  2. Open the pin. Lake George Village is a broad tag, and some titles name places well away from the lake.
  3. For Million Dollar Beach in season, budget $10 per car and leave pets at the rental.
  4. If a boat comes with the rental, ask the host whether it already has its Lake George Park Commission decal.
  5. Book on the site linked from the listing.
