Lake George Holiday Season 2026: Thanksgiving to New Year’s

Lake George Village starts its holiday season on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and the towns around it hold tree lightings into early December. This page covers the dated events listed by the Warren County tourism office (Visit the Lake George Area), read on October 30, 2026. Where a 2026 detail is not published, we say so. Shortlist cabins and lake houses on Lake George rentals, then book on the property site. For year-round ideas, see things to do, and for cold nights, the winter packing guide.

Quick answer

Lite Up the Village is Saturday, November 28, 2026, 3–8 p.m., on Beach Road, with a lighted parade on Canada Street and fireworks over the lake. It is free. The North Country Festival of Trees is November 27–29 at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls. No 2026–27 New Year’s Eve listings were posted when we checked.

The 2026 holiday calendar

Lite Up the Village (Lake George Village)

From the tourism office’s 2026 holiday events roundup: Saturday, November 28, 3–8 p.m., on Beach Road. The Parade of Holiday Lights goes along Canada Street and is followed by fireworks over the lake. There is also music, a family block party and an ugly sweater contest. The event is free and goes ahead rain, snow or shine. Canada Street is the village’s main street, so expect it to be busy that evening if you are checking in on November 28.
