Key West Airport and Getting to Your Vacation Rental
Key West International Airport (EYW) is run by Monroe County at 3491 South Roosevelt Boulevard, Key West, (305) 809-5200. This guide sums up what the airport publishes on its airlines page, ground transportation page, taxi page, ride share page and rental cars page, all checked on October 18, 2026. Airline routes change and some are seasonal, so treat these lists as a starting point and confirm on the airline’s site before you book.
Quick answer
EYW is on the island itself. Taxis wait outside baggage claim, and the airport posts per-person zone fares. Uber, Lyft and hotel courtesy shuttles pick up at the blue curb outside and to the right of Arrivals and Bag Claim. Rental car counters are in the arrivals and bag claim area. BnB Search is a rental directory, so nothing here is ranked or rated.
Airlines and nonstop cities listed by the airport
- American Airlines: Miami, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Dallas (DFW), Chicago (O’Hare), New York (LaGuardia) and Washington (Reagan National).
- Delta Air Lines: Atlanta and New York (LaGuardia).
- United Airlines: Newark, Washington (Dulles) and Chicago (O’Hare).
- JetBlue: Boston and New York (JFK).
- Breeze Airways: Tampa and Orlando.
- Allegiant Air: Tampa, Asheville, Indianapolis, Sanford, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, St. Pete-Clearwater, Knoxville and Columbus (Rickenbacker).
The page also lists Tweed-New Haven (HVN) with a customer service number, (346) 616-9500, but the airline’s name did not appear in the page text we read.
The airport’s page also lists Breeze service to Akron-Canton and Raleigh-Durham as “starting in October 2025.” That wording is out of date and the page does not say whether those flights run now, so we have left them out of the list above. Confirm with Breeze before you book.
Taxis
Taxis line up on the ground level outside baggage claim; the airport says to follow the exit signs from Concourse A to baggage claim and exit left near the rental car desks. Drivers must accept cash and credit cards, and wheelchair-accessible taxis cost nothing extra. The airport’s posted maximum fares:
- Zone 1 (all areas west of White Street): $9 per person.
- Zone 2 (east of White Street and west of Kennedy Drive): $8 per person.
- Zone 3 (east of Kennedy Drive and west of Cow Key Channel, including south of Roosevelt Boulevard): $7 per person.
- Zone 4 (Stock Island and Key Haven): $8 per person.
- Single passenger, metered: $3.95 to start, $0.70 for each additional one-fifth mile and $0.70 per 50 seconds of waiting.
Uber, Lyft, shuttles and buses
Uber and Lyft meet riders at the blue curb outside and to the right of the Arrivals and Bag Claim area. The same curb is used by the courtesy shuttles the airport lists for Best Western Hibiscus Motel, Doubletree Grand Key Resort, Hampton Inn, Havana Cabana, Hilton Garden/Gates Hotel/Keys Collection and Sheraton Suites. Vacation rentals are not on that list, so plan on a taxi, a rideshare or a rental car unless your host says otherwise. Bus service stops alongside Faraldo Circle at the airport exit; the airport lists (305) 809-3910 and (305) 296-9072 and says to call the provider for schedules and fares.
Rental cars and bags
Rental car counters are in the arrivals and bag claim area. For bags, the airport lists two porter and delivery services: Key West Porter and Car Service, (305) 731-4340, and Paradise Porters, (305) 293-4000.
Tips
- Airport details were checked on October 18, 2026. Check the airport and airline pages the week you fly.
- Ask your host whether the rental includes parking before you book a rental car.
- For the drive down the Overseas Highway from mainland airports, plan with your map app; this guide does not give drive times.
