About this data
These are NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) 1991–2020 U.S. Climate Normals for the Sedona station (ID USC00027708), elevation 1286 m (about 4,220 ft), about 3 miles northeast of the middle of our Sedona listing pins. NOAA computed the high-temperature normal from 15 years of data, the low from 18 and precipitation from 17; its completeness flags for these values are R ("S" standard, "R" representative, as defined in NOAA's documentation). Normals are 30-year averages, not a forecast: any given week can be much warmer, colder, wetter or drier.
NOAA does not publish a complete monthly snowfall normal for this station, so this guide does not list snowfall.
Packing notes from the numbers
- Average lows are between 33°F and 45°F in January, February, March, April, November and December, so a jacket is useful after dark.
- Average highs reach 90°F or more in June, July and August. Pack sun protection and plan for heat in the middle of the day.
- No month averages 4 inches of precipitation; February is the wettest at 2.17 in.

Browse them on the Sedona hub (map and filters) or in the full Sedona listings directory.
Before you book a Sedona rental
- For June, July, August and September, when average highs are 85°F or more, confirm the rental has air conditioning in the bedrooms, not just the living area.
- Check a current forecast from the National Weather Service (weather.gov) a few days before you travel; normals do not replace a forecast.
