Gulf Shores Airports and Getting to Your Vacation Rental
This guide covers Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF), using its home page, flights page and ground transportation page, and Pensacola International Airport (PNS), using its airlines page and ground transportation page, all checked on October 18, 2026. Airline routes change and some are seasonal, so treat these lists as a starting point and confirm on the airline’s site before you book.
Quick answer
Gulf Shores International is served by Allegiant, according to its flights page. Its passenger terminal is at 1155 Commerce Dr., Gulf Shores, which is separate from the airport’s business address. Pensacola, in Florida, has more airlines. Neither airport’s pages give a drive time to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach rentals. BnB Search is a rental directory, so nothing here is ranked or rated.
Gulf Shores International (GUF)
The home page says the airport offers nonstop flights to 13 cities, then lists 12: Nashville, Des Moines, Huntsville, Springfield (Missouri), Oklahoma City, Omaha, Louisville, Appleton, Belleville, Kansas City, Fayetteville and Cincinnati. Its flights page still says Allegiant service “starts in May 2025,” so that page is out of date; check Allegiant for current routes and dates.
- Rental cars: counters are in the terminal building, in baggage claim. The page names Alamo and Enterprise and also lists a Budget phone number. It recommends reserving before you arrive.
- Uber and Lyft: the airport says it has arrangements with both.
- Taxis and shuttles: the airport lists taxi companies including A1 Taxi, Beach Buggy Taxi, Beach Express Taxi, Coast Cab and Jersey Taxi, and shuttles including Coastal Express Shuttle and Surfside Shuttle, with phone numbers.
Pensacola International (PNS)
PNS says it has eight airlines and lists 20 nonstop destinations; its nonstop list did not load as text when we checked, so see the airport’s nonstop page. Rental car counters are on the first level of the terminal at baggage claim. Taxi rates are set by city ordinance: an $11.00 minimum airport fare, $2.50 for the first tenth of a mile, $0.26 for each additional tenth, $0.50 for each additional passenger age 13 and older, and a $2.50 airport pickup fee.
Tips
- Airport details were checked on October 18, 2026. Check the airport and airline pages the week you fly.
- Book a car or ride ahead; GUF recommends reserving rental cars before you arrive.
- Tell your driver to use the GUF passenger terminal at 1155 Commerce Dr., not the airport headquarters.
