Dinner

The Highlands Reserve, Grey Hawk Bar and Gardens, La Strada at Lake Lure, LakeHouse Restaurant, The 828, Appalachia Restaurant, Chimney Rock Smokehouse and RiverWatch Bar and Grill serve dinner. The 828 is closed Wednesdays, La Strada is closed Tuesdays and Grey Hawk serves dinner only Thursday–Friday, so check the day before you plan around one.

Meals and hours: Dinner Thursday–Friday, brunch and food on weekends. Its site lists 5–9 PM Thu–Fri, 10 AM–8 PM Sat and 10 AM–4 PM Sun, and says it now takes reservations only. Its coffeehouse, The Hatchling, lists 8 AM–3 PM daily
Known for: Pet-friendly dining with drinks and live entertainment, plus The Hatchling coffeehouse.
